In IVQ 2008 HTL-STREFA achieved a net profit of PLN 13,942 mln. Compared to IV Q2007 it is a remarkable progress. Sales revenues in IVQ2008 reached PLN 40,553 mln and were an improvement of 87.5 per cent when confronting with an analogous period of 2007.

 

After four quarters of 2008 the Company achieved sales results that were in accordance with Board estimations performed  at the begining of 2008. At the end of year the annual sales plan was realized in 104,7 per cent for safety lancets and 104,7 per cent for personal lancets.

 

After four quarters sales revenues of HTL-STREFA denominated in currencies reached EUR 21,6 mln, USD 24,3 and PLN 1,55 mln. At the end od 2008 in each of those currencies the prognosis fulfillment totalled to 98,14 per cent, 115,7 per cent and 155,4 per cent respectivaly

 

„The last quarter of 2008 was a one-off incident. Since then we’ve learned a lot and today, after 12 months, we benefit from that lesson. The Company’s sensational results were also achieved due to positiv market trends: the most important from them is  the weakening polish currency. If the currency rates remain on similar to the current ones, our results for the IQ 2009 once again could be a big surprise for the market” – said Wojciech Wyszogrodzki, CEO of HTL-STREFA S.A.

 

After 12 months of 2008 the Company’s net profit equalled PLN 30,719 mln. In the entire 2007 year the net profit totalled PLN 1,664 mln. (before the adjustment the 2007 annual score amounted to PLN 4,216 mln.
